T&A are now TUV Nord ISO 9001 accredited on our specialist hire work facility.
T&A’s specialist hire work facility allows for the manufacture of precision diameters ranging from 1.5mm – 150mm.
Our facilities allow us to grind stainless and engineering alloys as well as titanium, high nickel and cobalt alloys to customer specifications. For use in exacting applications within aviation, automotive, oil & gas industries.

Founded by father and son as a specialist sub contract centreless grinding hire work facility.
1990
After the business became established the directors decided to expand into the manufacture of genuine BS1407 Silver Steel.
1992
Acquired the Saben Silver Steel brand from Sanderson Special Steels Ltd.
1996
Acquired the Emil Crusader Silver Steel brand.
1997
Acquired SPS Technologies Ltd’s Silver Steel brand.
2015
Acquired the Peter Stubs Silver Steel brand from Prosol Tooling, including the UK’s distribution rights for Peter Stubs ‘Shim in A Can’ Shim Steel and ‘Mak-A-Key’ Key Steel.
2020
Introduced laser etching to provide material integrity and total traceability.
